Research

I am interested in multiphysics numerical modeling and hardware prototyping of electrical machines and electromagnetic instruments. My current application areas include, but are not limited to, next-generation technologies for electric vehicles (EVs), heavy-duty electric transportation systems, and emerging electromagnetic applications.

Machine Design & Power Electronics: Beyond the design and development of hardware, my research also focuses on integrating these systems into real-world applications. Consequently, the work involves developing various power electronic converters and control methodologies to achieve closed-loop operation of the prototyped electromagnetic equipment.

Numerical Modeling: The numerical modeling efforts rely on both commercial simulation packages and an in-house high-performance 3D Finite Element tool. This in-house software is versatile, efficient, and fully HPC-ready. Written in C and parallelized using MPI and OpenMP, it has been under active development and testing for more than a decade.

Computational Methods: Numerical modeling often reveals limitations or deficiencies in existing computational techniques—addressing these challenges is an integral part of my research. I work on developing new computational strategies that provide improved numerical stability, higher accuracy, and enhanced computational efficiency.
